Mr. Jerry Vance, age 75, of Murray, Kentucky died on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mr. Vance was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on May 1, 1942 to the late Troy Vance and Elaine Walker Vance. He was retired from the Murray Division of Tappan and Murray State University. Mr. Vance was also a farmer and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents Mr. Vance was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Vance Garner.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Vance, to whom he married on March 12, 1960 in Paducah, Kentucky; two daughters, Anita Crass and husband Mark of Murray, Kentucky and Mary Dick and husband Todd of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Mike Vance and wife Jean of Murray, Kentucky; Son in law, Steve Garner of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Allie Mae Byram and husband Dave of Murray, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Alicia Garner Wilkerson and husband Derrick, Robert Crass and wife Dana, Chelsea Humphreys and husband Josh, Laken Vance, Dustin Vance and fiancé Sydney Carver, Cameron Dick, Brandon Vance, Courtney Beane and husband Aaron, Reece Milam and wife Emily and Kenzie Dick; eight great-grandchildren; Troy Crass, Hayden Crass, Layton Elkins, Chassis Wilkerson, Raylan Wilkerson, Preston Beane, Waylon Beane, and Kylie Beane.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Darrell Walker, Bro. Greg Dowdy and Bro. Phillip Bazzell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery of Calloway County. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
