Jesse Weatherford

Mr. Jesse Bard Weatherford, age 82, of Almo, KY, passed away, Thursday, November 25, 2010, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Mr. Weatherford born in Graves Co., KY on December 12, 1927 to the late Albert Claude Weatherford and Ernst Fuqua Weatherford. Mr. Weatherford worked at the Tappan Manufacturing Co. in Murray until its closing; afterwards he worked at the Bank of Murray, now Regions Bank, until his retirement in 1992 as security guard. Mr. Weatherford was a member of the Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents Mr. Weatherford was preceded in death by two sisters, and three brothers as well as a granddaughter, Krista Lynn Weatherford.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Weatherford of Almo, KY, they married in Corinth, Mississippi on August 13, 1949, one daughter, Vicki Pierce and husband Roger of Benton, KY, one son, Steve Weatherford and wife Phyllis of Murray, five grandchildren, Jason Weatherford and wife LeeAnn of Nashville, TN, Brian Weatherford and wife Amanda of Murray, Evan Pierce of Campbellsville, KY, Keaton Pierce and Shea Pierce both of Benton, also five great grandchildren survive.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Hayes and Shea Pierce officiating. Burial to follow in the Unity Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the funeral home.
