Jessie Faye Young

Mrs. Jessie Faye Poole Young, 89, of Murray, died Friday, July 08, 2011 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray. Mrs. Young was born in Calloway Co., KY on September 17, 1921 to the late Albert Poole and Martha Jane Fair Poole. Mrs.Young was a retired L.P.N. in which she had been employed by the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital, as well as West View Nursing Home, now Spring Creek Health Care. Mrs. Young, a graduate of Murray High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church, and a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred H. Young; daughter, Clara Louise “Lulu” Young; two sons, Colonel (retired) Robert Stanley Young and William Alfred Young; granddaughter, Debra Young Price; great grandson, Nathan Elijah Duncan; brother, Allen Poole; and sister- in- law, Betty Poole.
Mrs. Young is survived by a daughter, Letha Duncan and husband David of Madison, MS; one son, Lt. Colonel (retired) Mark Allen Young and wife Alicia of Manasses, VA; daughter-in-law, Loretta King Young of Clarksville, TN; seven grandchildren, Diana Young Peake, Donna Young Kientzler, Douglas David Duncan, Nicole Duncan Cleveland, Matthew Allen Young, Lauren Elizabeth Young and Amy Katherine Young; as well as eleven great grandchildren, Ashley Peake, Amanda Peake, Jennifer Price, Jacob Price, Cole Kientzler, Camryn Kientzler, Elizabeth Hawthorne Clevalnd, Marilee Edwards Cleveland, Kennedy Jamieson Fair Cleveland, Andrew David Duncan and Rachel Anele Duncan, along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray City Cemetery with John Dale officiating. Burial to follow. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July, 12, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
