Mr. Jewel Crick age 71, of Almo, Kentucky, died Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Crick was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on September 2, 1944. Mr. Crick worked for the Murray Division of Tappan and retired from Murray State University after 23 years as a Carpenter Shop Window Repairman. He was a Member of the Dexter-Hardin United Methodist Church. He was also very active at the Murray-Calloway county senior center, and was a member of the Temple Hill masonic lodge F&AM 276.
Mr. Crick is preceded in death by his father, Earl Wade Crick; one sister, Shelby Crick; and one brother-in-law, Warren McDougal.
He is survived by his wife Martha Kelly Crick of Murray, Kentucky to whom he married on July 16, 1965 in Marshall County, Kentucky; his mother; Mary Frances Crick of Benton, Kentucky; daughter, Kelly Higgins and husband Robert of Almo, Kentucky; two sisters, Debbie Hopkins and husband Bobby and Renae McDougal all of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, David Crick and wife Marcia of Murray, Kentucky and Dan Crick of Almo, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Matthew Freeman of Benton, Kentucky, Jonathan Higgins of Farmington, Missouri, James Higgins of Murray, Kentucky, and Jordan Higgins of Almo, Kentucky; two great grandchildren, Ansley and Ayla Higgins both of Farmington, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Burkeen, Eric Kelleher officiating. Burial will follow at the Coles Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
