Mr. Jimmy Dan Butterworth, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.
Mr. Butterworth was born on July 16, 1938, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Osro Butterworth and Estelle Farmer Butterworth. He was a farmer and a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Butterworth; two sisters, Lydia Sue McMillen and Peggy Parrish; one brother, Joe Pat Butterworth; as well as one son-in-law, Jerry White.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Butterworth of Murray, Kentucky; to whom he married on September 15, 1956, in Corinth, Mississippi; one daughter, Vicky Butterworth White of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Ricky Butterworth and wife Jill and Mickey Butterworth both of Murray, Kentucky; three sisters, Annette Wilson, Shirley Morris, and Joan Orr all of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Jackie Butterworth of Murray, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Tiffany White Weatherly of Murray, Kentucky, Cody White of Murray, Kentucky, Matt Butterworth of Murray, Kentucky, Mickenna Butterworth of Murray, Kentucky, Kelly Chrisman of Fairview, Tennessee, and Montana Rowland of Nashville, Tennessee; and 11 great grandchildren, Trace Weatherly of Murray, Kentucky, Ty Weatherly of Murray, Kentucky, Tate Weatherly of Murray, Kentucky, Talyn Weatherly of Murray, Kentucky, Jace Burks of Murray, Kentucky, Rylee Chrisman of Fairview, Tennessee, Harper Chrisman of Fairview, Tennessee, Madison Elliot of Knoxville, Tennessee, Anslee White of Murray, Kentucky, Brody Lee White of Murray, Kentucky, and Benson White of Murray, Kentucky.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2021 in the Hicks Cemetery with Garry Evans and Steven Hunter officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
