Jimmy Lee Herndon

Mr. Jimmy Lee Herndon, age 71, of Murray, Kentucky, died on, Friday, July 16, 2021, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.

Mr. Herndon was born in Calloway County, Kentucky, on November 4, 1949. Mr. Herndon retired with Kenlake Foods as a Quality Inspector Technician. He was a graduate of Murray State University, was of the Church of Christ faith, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Herndon was preceded in death by his parents, James Addison Herndon and Rhoda Nell (Lee) Herndon Straight; as well as by a nephew, David Ballance.

Mr. Herndon is survived by his sister, Nan Turner of Murray, Kentucky; niece; Evanna Perkins of Murray, Kentucky; great nieces, Elizabeth White, Katelyn Parrish and husband Robert, and Kenna Brewer all of Murray, Kentucky; and one great nephew, Jeffrey Brewer of Murray, Kentucky.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. John Dale will officiate, and burial will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
