Mr. Jimmy D. Wilson, age 81 of Murray, Kentucky, died Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Paris Healthcare Nursing and Rehab.
He was farmer, electrician and had worked for the maintenance department at Murray State University. He was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church where he served as a song leader and pianist for over 60 years. He was a 1955 graduate of Kirksey High School
Jimmy was born in Murray, Kentucky on March 20, 1938 to the late Bulas and Lorene Kingins Wilson. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Locke and one brother Bob Wilson.
He is survived by his wife Linda Hurt Wilson of Murray, Kentucky; they were married in Calloway County Kentucky on December 10, 1955. He is also survived by two sons, Don Wilson and wife Lisa of Murray, Kentucky and Ronnie Wilson and wife Conda of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Janice Barrett and husband Jerry of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Bill Wilson and wife Suzanne of Paris, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Emily Wilson of Murray, Kentucky. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Palmer and Rev. Kenny Locke will officiate with burial to follow in the West Fork Cemetery in Stella, Kentucky. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the funeral home.
