Mrs. Jo Fielder age 89, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.
She was a graduate of the Murray Training School; she was a retired employee of the former Peoples Bank of Murray; she was the fourth longest active member of the First United Methodist Church in Murray; she was a member of the Ruth Wilson Circle; she was an avid Murray State University Basketball and Football Fan for over 80 years.
Mrs. Fielder was born in Calloway County Kentucky on August 12, 1924 to the late William and Beulah Richardson Broach. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, George Lee Fielder, Jr.; one daughter, Marcia Fielder; three sisters, Virginia Swann, Dortha Jones and Beth Broach; two brothers, Harrell Broach and Jimmy Broach.
She is survived by her son, David Fielder and wife Lisa of Antioch, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Drew Fielder and wife Krista of Murray, Kentucky, Michael Fielder and wife Leslie of Windsor, South Carolina, and Bradley Fielder of Antioch, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, July 7, 2014 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Dr. Rick Dye will officiate with burial to follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 1:00 – 4:00 at the funeral home.
