Joann Jones

Mrs. Joann Jones, age 88, of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House.

Mrs. Jones was born on August 16, 1932 in Pryorsburg, Kentucky to the late Marvin Tucker and Daisy McGuire Dunn. She was retired from the Mars Candy Company of Chicago, Illinois, and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church and the Adult Women's Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Vaughan, second husband Ron Jones, and one son, Donald Gene Vaughn; also preceding her in death are two sisters, Elwanda Tynes and Dorothy Camp, and one daughter in law, Georgia Vaughn.

Survivors include three daughters, Joella Parks and Larry of Murray, Kentucky, Gail Gipson and Johnny Miller of Murray, Kentucky, and Sherry Fox and Chester of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Michael Vaughn of Kirksey, Kentucky; one brother, Lewis Dwayne Tucker of Hickory, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Stacy Clark, Jeff Parks, Angie McCuiston, Danny Gipson, Shane Fox, Justin Fox, Darren Vaughn, Lauren Hayden, Charlie Dinkins, and Brandi Heydon; also surviving are twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Bro. Brett Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
