Joe Pat Carraway

Mr. Joe Pat Carraway age 85, of Murray, Ky., died Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital.
Mr. Carraway was born in Calloway County on April 4, 1928 to the late Leo and Hollis Jackson Carraway. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the South Pleasant Grove U.M.C. He was also an Army veteran of the Korean War , a member of the VFW, the American Legion, Murray Masonic Lodge # 105 F.&A.M., a 32nd degree Shriner, member of the York rite of Freemasonry, and a Kentucky Colonel.
Mr. Carraway is survived by his wife, Sue Carraway, of Murray, they married August 9, 1958 in Calloway Co., Ky., two daughters, Teressa Long and husband Kenny, of Murray, Ky., Lisa Morris and husband Michael, of Murray, Ky., three sons, Marty Carraway and wife Tina, of Murray, Ky., Tony Carraway, and Tracy Carraway, both of Murray, Ky., one sister, Linda Faye Jones of Carrolton, TX., two sisters in law, Carolyn Carraway and Euva Carraway, both of Murray, Ky., six grandchildren, Jeremy Carraway and wife Christy, of Murray, Anthony Carraway, of Murray, Christy Carraway, of Mayfield, Lacy Kuhlenschmidt and husband Cody, of Murray, Jesse Morris, of Murray, Emily Carraway and fiancé Ben Ballard of Murray, also six great-grandchildren, Jayden and Carter Carraway, of Murray, Emma Ballard, of Murray, Keegan and Kaeydriana Jones, of Mayfield, and Kierstyn Alexander, of Murray.
In addition to his parents Mr. Carraway is preceded in death by two brothers, Noby and Ralph Carraway, and one brother in law, Harold Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Stahler will officiate, and burial will follow in the South Pleasant Grove U.M.C. cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4p.m. – 9p.m. on Sunday, November, 24, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
