Mr. Joe Fridy, 85, of Murray, Ky., died Friday, July 23, 2010, at 6:55 p.m. at his residence.
He was a Farmer and retired from the Murray Division of Tappan, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and the Christian Adult Sunday School Class. He was born July 7, 1925 in Webster, Ky.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Florence Thurman Fridy of Murray, Ky. they married June 25, 1949, in Marion, Ky., daughter, Sarah Jane Fridy of Whittier, N.C., son, Joe Bill Fridy (Beverly) of Puryear, Tn., three grandchildren, Gail Gray (Phil) of Memphis, Tn., Grant and Tommy Fridy of Puryear, Tn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Powell and Maude Ellen Jackson Fridy.
Funeral service will be Monday, July 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Richard Smith and Bro. Jim Stalher will officiate, and burial will be in the Murray City Cemetery.
