Mr. Joe Anderson Ross, age 89, of Paducah Kentucky, formerly of Murray Kentucky, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 1:22 am at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with at Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; retired from Union Carbide Plant in Paducah Kentucky; member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church; an army veteran of World War II.
He was born February 28, 1921 in Gilbertsville Kentucky to the late Charles L, and Raymuth M Turner; in addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his first wife, Marian Lucille Buechner, second wife, Lorraine Ewing Ross, bothers, Dan E. Ross, Charles Pat Ross, sister, Doris Ross Harper and infant sister Louise Ross.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Kay Ross Harris of Louisville Kentucky, Emily Jane Ross Blasdel and Steve of Paducah Kentucky, son, Paul Anderson Ross and wife Cindy of Gilbertsville Kentucky, stepson, Stephen C. Ross and wife Dawn of Gainesville Georgia, sister, Vanetta Ross Cain of Paducah Kentucky, five grandchildren Mark T. Henderson, Marian B. Hogan, Stuart Ross, Jonathan Ross, and Jodie Ross Guess, two step grandchildren, Julia Kennedy, Jon C. Ross , six great grandchildren, Courtney Jayne Stewart, Gwendolyn Guess, Shelby K. Hogan, Matthew S. Hogan, Scarlett Henderson, Violet Henderson.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 18, 2010 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Dr. Dan Summerlin will officiate and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 from 4:00 – 7:00 at the funeral home
