Joe F. Young

Mr. Joe F. Young, age 77, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, October 04, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Young was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on August 8, 1940 to the late Truman Young and Volene Humphreys Young. He worked at Tappan Manufacturing and later at the Calloway County Road Department.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Young.

Survivors include his wife June Young to whom he was married in January of 1958 at the Elm Grove Baptist Church; two sons, Chad Young and family of Murray, Kentucky and Jay Young and family of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Elaine Young of Pottsville, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter, Alexis Young of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Reverend Brad Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
