Joel Royalty

Dr. Joel L. Royalty, age 73, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at his home.
Dr. Royalty was born on November 3, 1945 in Atlantic, Iowa to the late Vinson Royalty and Rosamand Mathison. He was a Professor Emeritus at Murray State University where he taught statistics to Psychology, Nursing and OSHA students for twenty-eight years. He was also an avid tennis player, cyclist, swimmer and kayaker.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Rosen Royalty of Murray, Kentucky; life companion Alysia Ritter, of Murray, Kentucky; two daughters, Alexis Royalty of Arlington, Virginia and Joan Miskiewicz of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Nancy Royalty Richards of Iowa City, Iowa; one brother, Billy Royalty of Moscow, Idaho; also surviving are three grandchildren, Shyann, Ender and Maggie.
No public services are scheduled.
