Mrs. Joetta (Cook)Johnson

Mrs. Joetta (Cook) Johnson, age 86, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Passion and Purpose HomeCare Assisted Living for our SENIORS.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Calloway County, Kentucky, on May 12, 1939, to the late L.D. Cook and Ethel (Canter) Cook. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pat Johnson, to whom she married on November 2, 1957, in Corinth, Mississippi; as well as one brother, L.D. Cook, Jr.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by one daughter, Cindy Clark and husband Keith of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Roger Johnson and wife Anita of Hazel, Kentucky and Jimmy Dale Johnson and wife Karon of Murray, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Sarah Parker and husband Justin, Dusty Clark and wife Bell, Clint Johnson and wife Lindy, Patrick Johnson and wife Leslie, Jessi Giles and husband Adam, Josh Johnson and wife Kayla, Katie McCuiston and husband Brian, Austin Smith and wife Mary, and Savannah Davis and husband Zack; 18 great grandchildren, Trace Johnson, Luke Johnson, Joel Giles, Atley Clark, Avery Clark, Bryson McCuiston, Emi Wade, Travis Johnson, Mason Johnson, Colton Johnson, Dylan Davis, Amelia Davis, Riley Smith, Lane Parker, Lauren Parker, Jordan Earles, Jonathan Earles and wife Tori, and Steven Earles; as well as several nieces and nephews survive.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Bro. Glenn Cope will officiate, and burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
