Mr. John Brittain, age 76, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025.
He was born on September 3, 1948, in Murray, Kentucky to the late William Radford Brittain and Mary Boggess Brittain. He was a retired auto-body repairman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Flora Mae Brittain; four brothers, Harold Brittain, Billie Joe Brittain, Virgil Brittain and Lonnie Brittain, and one sister, Wilma Starks.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Brittain, to whom he was married on July 1, 1967, in Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Johna Brittain (Steven Hoover) of Cadiz, Kentucky; one son, Dennis Brittain (Candice) of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Carol Wilson of Mayfield, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Austin Brittain, Laken Taylor (Brady), Kesslyeigh Brittain and Brynlei Brittain; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Ricky Stewart officiating. The burial will follow in the Barnett Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
