Mr. John Walter Kimbro, 82, of Murray, KY, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 1:25 p.m. at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital. Mr. Kimbro was born in Calloway Co., KY on January 11, 1928 to the late Ocus D. Kimbro and Laura Ann Buchanan Kimbro. Mr. Kimbro was a retired farmer and a member of the Sinking Spring Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kimbro was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Manning Kimbro, four sisters, Alma Phillips, Tasanella Kimbro, Mary Frances Hurt, and Geneva Hutchens, also by two brothers, James Edison and Ira Cecil Kimbro.
Mr. Kimbro is survived by one daughter, Deborah Westbrook and husband William of Murray, one son, Hugh Kimbro and wife Jessica of Murray, eight grandchildren, Tracy Smith and Jenny Kimbro of Tennessee, Brian Kimbro, Lasey Jones, Adrienne Kimbro, Chris Goad, Kimberly Rittenhouse and Kelly Haws all of Murray, also ten great grandchildren survive.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Barnett Cemetery with Bro. Terry Wilson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – until 2:00 p.m. also on Wednesday at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
