John Lee Knight

Mr. John Knight, age 67, of Murray, Kentucky died at his home on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 after an extended illness.

Mr. Knight was born on November 27, 1949 in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late Cecil Lee Knight and Elizabeth Irene Scott Knight. In addition to his parents, Mr. Knight was preceded in death by one son, Trevor Knight.

Mr. Knight was a retired auto body man, having worked last for Hannagan's Motor Sports.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Knight of Murray, Kentucky, they married on February 26, 1970 in Calloway County, Kentucky; son, Kevin Knight and wife Tori of Murray, Kentucky; four sisters, Margie Birdsong of Almo, Kentucky, Kathy Faria and husband Floyd of Jacksonville, Florida, Rita Fortner of Murray, Kentucky and Shannon Norsworthy and husband Jimmy of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Jimmy Knight and wife Theresa of Murray, Kentucky and Joe Knight and wife Karyn of Princeton, Kentucky; one grandchild, Laken Allison Eckert and husband Andy of Murray, Kentucky; two great grandchild, Kasen Avery Freeman and Emma Lynn Eckert both of Murray, Kentucky; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Glenn Cope will officiate and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
