John Wesley McCarty

Mr. John Wesley "J.W." McCarty, 74, of Murray, KY died on Friday, November 2, 2012 at his home.
Mr. McCarty was born in St. Louis, MO on September 10, 1938 to the late Amos McCarty, Sr. and Eulala Lassiter McCarty. Mr. McCarty had been employed by Tappan Manufacturing Company in Murray and by Fisher Price, Inc. also in Murray before retiring. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McCarty was preceded in death by two brothers, Ted and Larry McCarty.
Mr. McCarty is survived by his two daughters, Mandee Flores and husband Mark of St. Petersburg, FL and Kelley Austin and husband Paul of St. Louis, Mo; one brother, Amos McCarty, Jr. and wife Judy of Murray; four grandchildren; and special sister in law, Shirley McCarty of Savannah, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Austin officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until service hour at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may go to Murray Calloway Co.
