Mr. John Parker, age 89, of Murray, Kentucky, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Parker was born January 13, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Hafford and Birdie Dunn Parker. In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Parker, James Parker, and Charles Pat Parker.
Mr. Parker was a co-owner of Parker Ford Lincoln in Murray, Kentucky. He also was an Army Veteran of WWII, was a member of the VFW, and the American Legion. John was also a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Parker of Murray, Kentucky; they married October 12, 1946 in Flint, Michigan; sister, Dortha Jean Davidson of Jackson, Mississippi; sister in law, Charlotte Parker of Murray, Kentucky; also nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Murray City Cemetery, Pastor Keith Inman will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 1-2 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
