Mr. Johnnie Burton Lane age 86, of Murray, Ky. died Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Lane was born March 3, 1926 in Stewart Co. Tn., to the late Vonnie and Mary Crass Lane. He was a retired backhoe operator, an Army veteran of WWII, and a member of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by one daughter, Carrie Crawford of Murray, five grandchildren, Tina Peery and husband Keith of Murray, Joe Crawford and wife Missy of Murray, Matt Crawford and wife Dana of Murray, John Evan Lane of Murray, and Kimberly Lane of Louisiana, also six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ollie Mae Dillon Lane, son, Johnnie L. Lane, and numerous sisters and brothers.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Sammy Cunningham will officiate and burial will follow in the Hicks Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
