Joseph C. Bixby

Mr. Joseph C. Bixby, 74 of Dexter, Kentucky died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Bixby was born in Mc Gran, Pennsylvania on September 4, 1937 to the late Joseph Calvin Bixby and Ruby Allshouse Bixby. Mr. Bixby retired after 31 years with General Motors. Mr. Bixby was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Bixby is survived by his wife, Hollie Bixby of Murray, to whom he married on July 10, 1993; two daughters, Kimberly Joy Vogel of Eugene, Oregon and Richele Lynn Thrift-Canale of Dexter, Kentucky; two sons, Joseph Calvin Bixby, Jr. of Milan, Michigan and Donald Eugene Thrift of Dexter, Kentucky; one sister, Pat Mikita and husband John of Enon Valley, Pennsylvania; one brother, George Morris and wife Cindy of Abilene, Texas; three grandchildren, Steven Vokovich, Ethan Thrift and Gavin Canale; as well as six great grandchildren, Ashten Vokovich, Caitlin Vokovich, Kaylee Vokovich, Olivia Vokovich, Aidan Heller, Arwynn Vokovich-Dempsey.
There will be no public service or visitation. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
