Mrs. Josephine Baker, age 85, of the Coldwater community of Calloway County, Kentucky, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Paris Healthcare Nursing and Rehab in Paris, Tennessee.
Mrs. Baker was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on November 3, 1932 to the late Early Youngblood and Trudy Hurt Youngblood. She worked for 30 plus years as a dietician for the Murray-Calloway County Hospital. She was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #443.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Baker, they were married on December 16, 1951; three sisters, Clemmie Black, B-Dot Sanders, and Rebecca Roach; and two brothers, Ted Youngblood and Taz Youngblood.
Survivors include one son, Kerry Walter Baker and wife Verna of Murray, Kentucky; two step grandchildren, Matthew Sholar and wife Monica and Melanie Cannon and husband Brian; three step great-grandchildren, Jayden Cannon, Lilyonna Sholar, and Rhett Sholar; as well as four sisters-in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
