Joyce Ann Harper

Mrs. Joyce Ann Harper, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky, died Friday, October 16, 2020 at her home.

Joyce was born on June 19, 1936, in Lebanon, Indiana to the late Pete Hughes and the late Reba (Maltsberger) Hughes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rabon Harper; sister, Sharon Rowland; one grandson, Kyle Harper; as well as one step-son, Steven Harper.

She retired after almost 40 years from the popcorn industry and was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.

She is survived by her niece; Angie Oakley and husband Mike; stepson, Dewayne Harper and wife Pam; daughter-in-law, Martha Harper; granddaughters, Stephanie (Harper) Love, Darby (Harper) Lax and husband Dustin, Jamie Horton and husband Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Hailey Harper and Gabe Horton; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Houston and husband Don of Murray, Kentucky.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, October 26, 2020, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with entombment following in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Steven Hunter, John Dale, and Tyler Bohannon will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., on Monday, October 26, 2020, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
