J.R. Story

Mr. J.R. Story age 85, 0f Murray, Ky., died Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital.
Mr. Story was born July 16, 1928 in Calloway Co., Ky., to the late Festus Lynn and Donnye Dell Davidson Story. He worked at Martin Marietta from 1952 till his retirement in 1991 as a Shift Superintendent. He was a Veteran of the Korean War as a Master Sargent, and was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Murray, Ky., and Mr. Story also attended Murray State University.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Story was preceded in death by one brother, Randolph L. Story.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn F. Story of Murray, Ky., they married April 28, 1951 in Murray, Ky., also two sons, Ralph F. Story and wife Jamie of Paducah, Ky., and Richard L. Story and wife Arlene of Sedalia, Ky., two sisters, Sara Johnson of Murray, and Anna Bailey and husband Art of Murray, one sister in law, Martha Fox of Shelbyville, Tn., three grandchildren, Brad Story and wife Jenny, Andrew Story and wife Amanda, and Allyson King and husband Jarrod, also six great grandchildren, Clayton Story, Ethan Story, Knox Story, Max Story, Riley King, and Wyatt King.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, John Dale and Rev. Keith Inman will officiate, and entombment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
