Mrs. Judy Carolyn (Bogard) Curd, age 79, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House.
Mrs. Curd was born on July 23, 1945, in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Ralph Bogard and Eva Frances (Wilkerson) Bogard. She was the co-owner of Judy and Shere’s Beauty Salon and was a hairdresser for over 40 years. Mrs. Curd was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed shopping, especially at Goodwill; she also enjoyed painting, baking and sharing her dishes, and attending the Senior Citizen Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Curd; as well as one sister, Linda Bogard.
Survivors include one son, Kelly Don Curd of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Shere Walker and husband Jerry of Paris, Tennessee; one brother, Kenny Bogard and wife Sarah of Murray, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Logan Reed Curd and Keaton Morris Curd; one great granddaughter, Oakley Mae Curd; as well as special nieces and nephews. The family is extremely thankful for all the caregivers that she has had over the past several years.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. John Dale and Bro. Ricky Cunningham will officiate, with burial to follow in the New Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
