JUDY TUCKER
Mrs. Judy Hannon Tucker, age 70, of Murray, Kentucky died in Paducah, Kentucky on Thursday, May 04, 2017.
Mrs. Tucker was born in Montgomery, Alabama on May 16, 1946 to the late Carlton D. Hannon and Jean (Smart) Hannon. Mrs. Tucker graduated from Paducah Tilgham High School in 1964. She earned her B.A. in Education from the University of Kentucky and her Masters of Arts – Reading Specialist from Murray State University. Mrs. Tucker began her teaching career in Nolan, West Virginia. She later taught for 20 years at Murray Middle School, and later retired from the Murray Independent School District. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Tucker – Frost Circle. She was also a member of the Retired Middle School Teachers Group, Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, the Murray Women's Club, Kappa Department, and a volunteer for the Adult Reading Center.
Mrs. Tucker is survived by her husband, Kenny Tucker of Murray, Kentucky, to whom she married on August 12, 1967 in Paducah, Kentucky; one son, Kevin L. Tucker and wife Erin of Paducah, Kentucky; one sister, Jennifer Gay and husband Gary of Paducah, Kentucky; one brother, Carl Hannon and wife Linda of Kevil, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Owen and Hudson Tucker both of Paducah, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; as well as special friends, Darold and Donna Keller.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray, Kentucky. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, in Paducah, Kentucky with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Jim Stahler and Dr. Rick Dye will officiate. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
