June Mitchell Cunningham

Mrs. June Mitchell Cunningham age 81, of Murray, Ky., died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Cunningham was born June 2, 1932, in Calloway Co., Ky., to the late Monroe and Gladys Blalock Mitchell. Mrs. Cunningham was a graduate of Murray State University with Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She was a retired RN, and member of the Memorial Baptist Church, and the Winsome Sunday school class.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Billy Mitchell.
Survivors include her husband, Guy Cunningham of Murray, Ky., they married November 6, 1948 in Corinth, Ms., daughter, Linda Taylor and husband Norm of Ocala, Fla., two sons, Allen Cunningham and wife Julia of Davie, Fla., and Guy Mitchell Cunningham and wife Mary-Carol of Sharon, Pa., two brothers, Bobby Mitchell and wife Betty of Almo, Ky., and Darrel Mitchell and wife Peggy of New Concord, Ky., five grandchildren, Chris Cunningham and wife Hilary of Kirksey, Ky., Kayla Staley and husband Caleb of Benton, Ky., Alex Cunningham of Sharon, Pa., Michelle Cernak and husband Bryan of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Lisanne Taylor of Woodstock, Canada. Also nine great grandchildren, Cooper Cunningham of Kirksey, Ky., Owen, Evan, and Aiden Staley all of Benton, Ky., Joey and Megan Cernak of Ft. Smith, Ark., Claire and Nathan Bogue of Woodstock, Canada.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Martin Severns, and Bro. Ricky Cunningham will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
