June Gingles, 76, of Murray passed peacefully on March 21, 2014 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital. Born June 23, 1937, she was the daughter of Lee H. Gingles and Callie Black Gingles. A graduate of Hazel High School, June attended Murray State University before beginning her career with the Bank of Murray where she was employed until her retirement. She was a member of Glendale Road Church of Christ and an avid fan of MSU Basketball till the end.
Preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jimmie Gingles Stubblefield, she is survived by one niece and one nephew, Kathy Jo Stubblefield and Krit Stubblefield of Murray. Also surviving are cousins: Bob Melugin and Mary Ann Melugin Kelley of Oklahoma, Roger Melugin and Laura Melugin Herndon of Paducah, Jimmy Morris of Owensboro, and Glenn Rogers, Franklin Rogers, and Larry Rogers of Murray.
Visitation will be Monday, March 24 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with services being held on Tuesday, March 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Bank of Murray retirees will be honorary pallbearers.
