Ms. June Turner, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Monday, September 16, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.

 

Ms. Turner was born on June 2, 1942, in Marshall County, Kentucky to the late James D. Johnson and Imogene (Johnston) Johnson. June was a people person and was always looking for someone to talk to when out and about. She was always upbeat and ready to go when asked to go out to eat. Her favorite was eating biscuits and gravy and fried fish. She worked 20 years at Murray State University in the food service department and loved to tell everyone she came across about all the students she was able to serve. She was an avid game show watcher and turned up the TV for everyone to hear, even the ones outside her house.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her faithful four-legged companion, “Peppy the Poodle”, who was her best friend until his passing in 2020.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Boren and husband Greg of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Eddie Don Turner of Murray, Kentucky; one bonus daughter, Belinda Perry of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Diane Brasher of Brewers, Kentucky, one brother, Gary Johnson and wife Carolyn of Orange County, Florida; five grandchildren, Ryan Berberich and wife Tara of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Eric Berberich and wife Lauren of Mayfield, Kentucky, Raegan Boren of Murray, Kentucky, Peyton Prescott and husband Trayle of Draffenville, Kentucky, and Ashley Preto and husband Sean of Perry, Ohio; as well as four great-grandchildren, Hadlee Berberich, Ryland Berberich, Abby Preto, Adisyn Madding, and Kaysin Madding.

 

There will be no public visitation or service held.
