Junior D. Childress

Mr. Junior D. Childress, age 87, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the Mayfield Health & Rehab in Mayfield, Kentucky.

Mr. Childress was born in Almo, Kentucky on January 21, 1934, to the late Andrew J. Childress and Beatrice (Hicks) Childress. He was the owner and operator of Junior Childress Motors, INC. in Murray, Kentucky and was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie J. (Davis) Childress; as well as one brother, William Wilson Childress.

Survivors include one son, Ricky Childress of Murray, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, May 28, 2021, at the Murray City Cemetery. Bro. Martin Severns will officiate, and burial will follow. There will be no public visitation.
