Ms. Karen Elizabeth May, age 46 of Kenner Louisiana, died Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans Louisiana.
She was born on April 17, 1972 in Fort Sill Oklahoma to Michael and Genie Jablonski May.
Karen is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Leeila Jablonski
She was a member of the New Horizon United Methodist Church in Woodward Oklahoma and attended Williams Avenue Baptist Church in Kenner Louisiana. She was a Special Olympics Gold Medal recipient. Karen lobbied for Special Education in schools.
Karen is survived by her parents, Michael and Genie May of Almo, Kentucky; one sister, Kimberly May of Bolivar Missouri; three nieces, Andria Potter of Bolivar, Missouri, Alicia Potter of Saint Louis Missouri and Megan May of Mesa Arizona; paternal grandmother, Arvada Reddick of Almo, Kentucky. Also survived by one maternal aunt, Ann Dozier; maternal uncle Joe Jablonski and wife Natasha; paternal aunt, Florence Heavener and husband Jim; paternal uncle, Clayton Reddick and wife Cindy.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at the Coldwater United Methodist Church. Rev. Tim Palmer will officiate.
