Kathryn Lou Finney

Mrs. Kathryn Lou Finney, age 86, of Madisonville, Kentucky, formerly of Murray, Kentucky died Friday, February 09, 2018 at Ridgewood Terrace in Madisonville, Kentucky.

Mrs. Finney was born on January 11, 1932 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Jessie Garland and Willie Odell Vinson Garland. She was retired from the Murray School System Food Services, and a member of the Martins Chapel United Methodist Church, and Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Finney and one brother, Wade Garland.

Survivors include one daughter, Phyliss Orr of Marion, Kentucky; and one son, Keith D. Finney and wife Elaine of Madisonville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Ginger Boone of Murray, Kentucky, Rachel Finney of Lexington, Kentucky, Erin McGowan of Columbus, Mississippi Air Force Base, Michael Finney of Owensboro, Kentucky, Jordan Orr of Marion, Kentucky, Jesse Finney of Madisonville, Kentucky and Grace Finney of Madisonville, Kentucky; two step-grandchildren, Lovely Jones of Hanson, Kentucky, and Louisa Troutman of Oceanside, California; six great grandchildren, Garrett Stasuck of Lexington, Kentucky, John Patrick McGowan of Columbus, Mississippi, Maggie Finney of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Emerson McGowan of Columbus, Mississippi; also surviving are two step great-grandchildren, Avery Embrey and Dalton Embrey, both of Hanson, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
