Kenneth Lee Barber

Mr. Kenneth Lee Barber 75, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Murray, Ky., died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at his home.
He was a 1962 graduate of Murray State University, and an Army Veteran. Mr. Barber was a former member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ in Murray, Ky., and was a current member of the Lake Morton Methodist Church in Lakeland, Fla. He worked in various roles for the State of Kentucky before retiring from the Court system in 2000. Mr. Barber loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was involved in numerous activities in his local communities. He was born May 14, 1936 in Louisville, Ky.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce McCage Barber of Lakeland, Fla., daughter, Stacie Barber Steiner of Lakeland, Fla., two sons, Keith Barber and wife Suellen of McKinney, Tx., and Tim Barber and wife Lynn of San Diego, Ca., also six grandchildren, Alex, Emily, Nick, and Casey Barber, Allie Roney, and Cameron Steiner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Barber, one son, Marc Barber.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, John Dale will officiate and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
