Mr. Kenneth M. Cook, age 89, of Murray, Kentucky died on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.
Mr. Cook was born in Toronto, Canada on March 26, 1928 to the late Miles William Cook and Gladys (Pim) Cook. Mr. Cook retired as a Newspaper System Analyst in San Jose, California. After moving to Murray Mr. Cook volunteered at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital for 20 years. He was a member of the Friendship Lodge, #210 F.&A.M in San Jose, California, a member of the Westside Baptist Church and he was a Kentucky Colonel.
In addition to his parents Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Mae Cook; one son, Alan Cook; and by three sisters, Dorothy Barlow, Audrey Blackstone and Bernice Reece.
Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Brenda Cook of Murray, Kentucky; two step daughters, Pam Eldridge and husband Todd of Fort Myers, Florida and Vanessa Bucy of Murray, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Glynn Orr officiating. Entombment will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral hour at the funeral home.
