Mr. Kim Wilson Wallis, age 79, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.
Mr. Wallis was born on July 20, 1944, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Pat B. Wallis and Allene “Pete” (Farris) Wallis-Neal. He was a farmer and worked as a real estate investor. Mr. Wallis was a Marine Corps Veteran having served in Vietnam. In 1972 the Murray-Calloway Jaycees named him the Outstanding Young Farmer that year. Mr. Wallis was a member of the University Church of Christ and had formerly served as a deacon at the church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Scott Wayne Wallis.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn (Williams) Wallis of Murray, Kentucky; they married on August 3, 1963, at the College Church of Christ in Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Amy Jo (Wallis) Speight and husband Jeremy of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Mary Jane Brewer of Lafayette, Indiana; one brother, Jack Wallis and wife Janet of Murray, Kentucky; one granddaughter, McKinsey (Speight) Carter and husband Seth of Mayfield, Kentucky; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Philip Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
