Larry Poyner

Mr. Larry G. Poyner, age 73, of Sedalia, Kentucky, died Thursday, May 23, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Poyner was born in Graves County, Kentucky on April 10, 1946 to the late Cecil Hassel Poyner and Opal (Seay) Poyner. Mr. Poyner retired as a Certified Ford Auto Technician at Purchase Ford in Mayfield, Kentucky. He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents Mr. Poyner was preceded in death by four brothers, Marshall Poyner, James Poyner, Bob Poyner and Billy Poyner.

Mr. Poyner is survived by his wife, Kaye Poyner of Sedalia, Kentucky, whom he married on December 31, 1965; three daughters, Laura Vincent and husband Chris of Cuba, Kentucky, Mary Meinschein and husband David of LaCenter, Kentucky and Rena Pivoras and husband Luke of Murray, Kentucky; one son, John Poyner of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, June Canter of Pryorsburg, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren, Brandi Vincent, Laura Ashley Wilson, Emily Meinschein, Caitlyn Meinschein, Sara Meinschein, Zeke Meinschein, Daniel Meinschein, Becca Meinschein, Austyn Pivoras, Gavin Pivoras, Liam Pivoras and Eli Pivoras; as well as five great-grandchildren, Lorelei Williams, Nate Vincent, Kylie Wilson, Bella Wilson and Juniper Meinschein.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Palmer and Bro. Steve Howe officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynnville Cemetery in Lynnville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Monday, May 27, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
