Larry Ronald Rogers

Mr. Larry Ronald Rogers, age 77, of Murray, Kentucky died on Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home.

Ronald was born in Lynn Grove, Kentucky on July 17, 1939 to the late John Virgil and Nancy Irene Mayfield Rogers. He was retired from Cleaver Construction Company in Murray and he was associated with South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents Ronald was preceded in death by six sisters, Velma Miller, Opha Krewson, Marie Jewell, Jean Bahr, Inez Cooper and Reba Hendon; as well as one brother, Kelton Rogers.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Cook Rogers of Murray, Kentucky, to whom he married in Lynn Grove, Kentucky on September 16, 1961; one daughter, Devry Lamb and husband Danny of Tullahoma, Tennessee; two sons, Jay Rogers of Murray, Kentucky and Chris Garland and wife Tonya of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Sydney Lamb, Reagan Lamb, Leana Rogers, Brilee Garland and Connor Garland; as well as his devoted companion Gary.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Palmer will officiate with burial in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the J.H Churchill Funeral Home.
