Larue Spann

Mrs. Larue (Dunn) Spann, 91, of Murray, KY died Friday, January 06, 2012 at the Glendale Place of Murray.
Mrs. Spann was born in Calloway County, KY on April 20, 1920 to the late Walter Gray Dunn and Fannie (Morgan) Dunn. Mrs. Spann worked at South Central Bell Telephone Company and later was the owner and operator of Town and Country Dress Shop of Murray. Mrs. Spann was a member of the University Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Spann was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Spann who died on November 15, 1994; one sister, Frances Davis; and two brothers, John and Morgan Dunn.
Mrs. Spann is survived by one daughter, Julia Spann Hoard of Pleasant View, TN; one son, Bob Spann of Murray; one brother, Jim Dunn and wife Margaret of Murray; sister in law, Dorothy Dunn of Murray; three grandchildren, Matthew Spann, Michael Hoard and Shelby Hoard; one great grandchild, Devin Eli Spann; as well as a dear friend, Ethel Johnson of Murray.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Richard Youngblood and Hollis Miller officiating. Burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the funeral home.
