Laura Morrison

Mrs. Laura Morrison, age 96, of Dexter, Kentucky, died Thursday, April 09, 2015 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.

She was a former employee of Sue & Charlie's in Aurora, Kentucky where she worked in the kitchen. Mrs. Morrison was of the Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Morrison was born September 9, 1918 in Trigg County, Kentucky to the late Phil and Lillie Jones Futrell. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Joe Morrison; one daughter, Wanda Thompson; two sisters, Pearl Balentine and Olive Flood; four brothers, Paul Futrell, Connie Futrell, Hopson Futrell and Ward Futrell.

Mrs. Morrison is survived by two daughters, Robbie Edmonds of Benton, Kentucky and Nelda Davenport and husband Hollis of Murray, Kentucky; as well as eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Ferguson Springs Church Cemetery in Aurora, Kentucky with Rev. Elijah Balentine officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 prior to the graveside service from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
