Laura R. Shelley

Mrs. Laura R. Shelley, 87, of Murray, KY, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10:55 a.m. at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital.
Mrs. Shelley was born in Newcastle, KY on February 5, 1924. A homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Murray.
Mrs. Shelley was preceded in death by her husband, Drane Shelley, who died in the year 2000.
Mrs. Shelley is survived by two daughters, Joyce Hall and husband Stan of Clarksville, TN and Bonnie Bogart and husband Pete of Bluffton, SC; two sons, Buddy Shelley and wife Joan of Marianna, Fl and Johnny Shelley and Catherine Sames of Murray; one grandchild, Brent Shelley and wife Inna of Solon, OH; as well as two great grandchildren and three great - great grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Mrs. Shelley will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the First Christian Church in Murray at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Youngblood and Rev. David Roos officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
