Mrs. Laura Gail Workman, age 88, of Murray, Kentucky, died, Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital
Mrs. Workman was born in Trigg County Kentucky on December 15, 1924 to the late Stanton R. Hooks and Malissia Hudson Hooks. Mrs. Workman retired from Fisher Price and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Workman was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Workman, who died in 1991; two sisters, Etta White and Marie Outland; and by one brother, James Mason Hooks.
Mrs. Workman is survived by three sisters, Lillian Prescott of Murray, Kentucky, Velva Maupin and husband Dave of Murray, Kentucky, and Edna Vance and husband Jimmy of Almo, Kentucky; one brother, Kelsie Hooks of Murray, Kentucky; as well as seventeen nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Garry Evans and Rev. John Denham officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
