Lee Russell Lyons

Mr. Lee Russell Lyons, age 90, of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Lyons was born July 14, 1927 in Model, Tennessee to the late Walter Lee Lyons and Myrtis Steele "Bobo" Lyons. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Bonita Hodges, one brother, William "W.A." Lyons.

Mr. Lyons retired as an electrician after thirty years of service with the federal government. He was an army- air corps veteran and was a long time member of the New Concord Church of Christ and recently of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Deloris Cleaver Lyons of Murray, Kentucky, they married September 1 1951 in Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Monte Lyons and wife Terry of Paragould, Arkansas, George Lyons and wife Carrie of Murray, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Vanessa Lyons of Princeton, North Carolina, Lee Lyons of Atlanta, Georgia, Luke Lyons of Arkansas City, Kansas, Jesse Lyons of Paragould, Arkansas, Kady Allgood of Murray, Kentucky and Natalie Cuzzilla of Lebanon, Tennessee; also surviving are seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
