Mrs. Lena Haley Stewart age 45, of Parsons, Tennessee, formerly of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home.
Mrs. Stewart was born May 7, 1970 in Murray, Kentucky, to Joe Rob Haley, and the late Barbara Doores Haley.
Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker, attended Murray State University. She was also a member of the Parsons First United Methodist Church, she also volunteered at the Parsons First United Methodist Church family kitchen. Lena and her husband, Rev. David Stewart, where foster parents for 17 years, having fostered 48 children in that time period.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Doores Haley, and nephew, Jeremy Haley.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. David Stewart of Parsons, Tennessee, they married March 7, 1992 in Murray, Kentucky; father, Joe Rob Haley of Almo, Kentucky; son, Chris Jordan Stewart and wife Holly of Reagan, Tennessee; sister, Karen Birdsong and husband Ronnie of Almo, Kentucky; brother, Alan Haley and wife Tina of Almo, Kentucky; two nieces, Jessica Barrett and husband Joe of Bardstown, Kentucky, and Jennifer Rhoads and husband Erik of Bremen, Kentucky.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 4-8 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
