Leonard L. Dunnaway

Mr. Leonard L. Dunnaway, 87of Murray, Kentucky died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.
Mr. Dunnaway was born in Stewart Co., Tennessee on October 26, 1924 to the late Pat Dunnaway and Alma McCoy Dunnaway. Mr. Dunnaway worked at the Tappan Manufacturing Company in Murray and later retired from the Calloway County School System as custodian at the Calloway County High School. Mr. Dunnaway was a member of the Murray Church of the Nazarene and attended the Murray Family Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dunnaway was preceded in death by one son, Will Ed Dunnaway; four sisters; as well as one brother.
Mr. Dunnaway is survived by caregiver and daughter in law, Jody Leech and husband Howard of Sedalia, Kentucky; one brother, Thurman Dunnaway and wife Norma of Decatur, Illinois; three grandchildren, Shane Dunnaway and wife Dawn of Mayfield, Kentucky, Shawn Dunnaway and wife Jennifer of Murray, and Maquel Mittlesteadt and husband JD of Murray; four great grandchildren; as well as one great great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray City Cemetery with Rev. Mike Wilford officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
