Ms. Lillian "Katie" West

Ms. Lillian Katie West, age 79, of Murray, Kentucky died Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home.

Ms. West was born on April 2, 1945, in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late Lawrence Leonard Dick and Virgie Mae Hill Dick. She was retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department of Community Based Services and was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a member of the Germany/American auto racing club. She raced supermodifed mini stock cars to enhance German/American relations. She also volunteered at the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Edna Jones, Betty Beard, Marge Cloys, Mary Ella Magidsohn and Bertha Dick; three brothers, Elvis Lee Dick, Raymond Earl Dick and Elmus Henry Dick.

Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda West of Belding Michigan; son, Darrin West of Murray, Kentucky; sister, June Bass of Alabama; two brothers, Virgil Dick and Donnie Dick both of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas and husband Mathew, Ryan Brady and wife Stefani, Kayla West and Devin West; three great grandchildren, Alexis Thomas, Gracelynn Thomas and April Brady.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with John Dale officiating. Entombment will follow in the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
