Mrs. Linda Lou McDougal Fennell, age 77 of Dexter, Kentucky died Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.
She was a member of the Independence United Methodist Church and retired from Environmental Services at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Fennell was born in Stewart County, Tennessee on August 28, 1940 to the late Rayburn and Otie Lois Compton McDougal. In addition to her parents Mrs. Fennell was preceded in death by her husband Paul Lawson Fennell; one daughter, Debbie Lovett; three sisters, Daphine Bennett, Enta Sue Story and Maxine Lawrence; one brother, R.J. McDougal; and one brother-in-law, Tommy Johnson.
Mrs. Fennell is survived by one daughter, Patricia Baker of Dexter, Kentucky; one son, Paul Mack Fennell of Dexter, Kentucky; one sister, Brenda Johnson of Shallotte, North Carolina; one brother, Cordie E. McDougal and wife Jean of Puryear, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Shirley McDougal of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Christopher Baker and Brandy Baker both of Dexter, Kentucky, Crystal Cox and Justin Lovett both of Benton, Kentucky; one great grandchild, Sadey Cox of Benton, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 prior to the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. until service hour at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
