Mrs. Linda K. Parker, age 76, of Murray, Kentucky died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 5:30 a.m. at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Parker was born in Murray, Kentucky on June 7, 1938 to the late George Ora King and Alma Odell (Steele) King. Mrs. Parker was a homemaker, master seamstress, and had worked at the Shoe Shack and Finley's Jewelry both in Murray, Kentucky. She was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband Ray E. "Gene" Parker of Murray, to whom she married on September 5, 1959; two daughters, Tammie Hoover and husband Kenny and Traci Green and husband Jerry all of Murray; one brother, Gene Paul King and wife Helen of Murray; four grandchildren, Lauralee Latimer and husband Jeremy of Murray, Blake Hoover and wife Katie of Villa Hills, Kentucky, Raegan Green of Murray and Parker Green of Murray; three great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale, Garry Evans and Jason Hart officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
