Lita Faye Tucker Rushing, 77 of Murray, Kentucky died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Visitation will be at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home prior to the graveside service from 9:00 -11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Murray City Cemetery with John Dale officiating.
Mrs. Rushing was born in Murray, Kentucky on July 9, 1937 to Lloyd and Mable Tucker. She was a graduate of Murray High School and worked for the Houston-McDevitt Medical Clinic and retired from the medical practice of R. Bailey Binford, MD. She was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ. Mrs. Rushing was an avid Murray High School and Murray State University athletic supporter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Thomas Rushing, her parents, Lloyd and Mable Tucker, and twin sister, Linda Tucker Gage.
Mrs. Rushing is survived by her two daughters, Lori Lynn Rushing of Nashville, Tennessee and LeeAnn "Wege" Crigler of Memphis, Tennessee; three granddaughters, Maggie, Abby and Lilly Crigler all of Memphis, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Jean Brandon of Murray; brother-in-law, G. David Gage; and nieces, Liz Gage Mathers of Phoenix, Arizona and Dee Dee Gage Hennessy of Dallas, Texas; and nephew, Cary Lee Brandon of Murray.
