Lois Maxine Lawrence

Mrs. Lois Maxine Lawrence, 79, of Claymont, Delaware died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Lawrence was born in Stewart County Tennessee on November 11, 1933 to the late Cordie Rayburn McDougal and Otie Lois Compton McDougal. Mrs. Lawrence worked as a volunteer for the Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Lawrence was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lawrence; and by two sisters, Audrey Daphine Bennett and Etna Sue Story.

Mrs. Lawrence is survived by two sisters, Brenda Johnson and husband Tommy of Shallotte, North Carolina and Linda Fennell of Dexter, Kentucky; two brothers, R.J. McDougal and wife Shirley of Murray, Kentucky and Cordie E. McDougal and wife Charlotte J. of Puryear, Tennessee; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Glynn Orr officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
